Wraparound Support

We provide wraparound support for children in our community.

Through all of our programmes combined, we provide wraparound support in our school, early learning and women's refuge communities so children and their families can be supported in all aspects of their lives.

Essentials access

Children in need are supported with stationery, uniforms and they receive winter pyjamas every year. The school's Social Workers can refer most in-need families to our Everyday Essentials programme for extra support with food, toiletries, clothing and warmth when needed as well.

Moments of Joy

Families in need, identified by these communities are then provided with the opportunity to visit the Christmas Joy Store to receive food and presents for their children.

Social Services:

We work with our Community Partners to connect families with housing requirements through Kāhui Tū Kaha and Kāinga Ora and on-going Social Service support wherever needed.

Gardens & Kai Support for schools & centres:

Schools in our community have the opportunity to apply for a school garden build and we enable them to access Garden to Table to further their education. We'll also put them in touch with their local gardening club for help with maintenance.

When schools also have Breakfast Clubs, lunch programmes or after school clubs that require extra resources, we'll chip in there with food and educational resources too.

Learning, LEGO, and events

Schools are introduced to the Kindness Cup programme to foster and reward kindness in the school and we provide them with LEGO for their classrooms, educational resources and LEGO Play Specialists.

Many of our schools and centres don't have access to funding or resources to go on school trips, so with our regular donors and business community we make these happen.

"I would like to say a huge thank you on behalf of our staff, tamariki and families at Christ the King Catholic School for the amazing work done building our school garden. The new gardens and play area are fantastic assets for our school that will be used and benefited from for many years to come".
Billy Hadnett, Principal, Christ the King Catholic School
"Your donation of uniforms and stationery has made an amazing difference and means tamariki can fit in with the other children, be safe and comfortable and have all their learning equipment ready for the year. They felt so proud walking into school looking sharp in their new gear! Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou!"
