Kindness Collective Privacy Policy

At Kindness Collective Foundation Charitable Trust we are firmly committed to protecting the privacy and the security of your personal information.

Kindness Collective collects and handles personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.  This privacy statement explains how Kindness Collective collects, and stores your personal information. If you are a parent/caregiver, references to you in this privacy statement apply to your child as well.

The personal information we may collect from you as part of providing our services includes:

  • Identification details (name);
  • contact details that you provide to us (email and contact phone number);
  • Partner: details of your partnership, including bank details;
  • Any other written, or email correspondence with us

We may collect personal information about you in several ways, including: 

  • directly from you when you apply for our services (e.g. the information you provide on the application form, and photos you share with us);
  • through our corporate partners who may assist us in providing services to you
  • Any other purpose associated with our normal charity functions and activities, including reporting purposes and administration and management

Personal information we collect will not be shared with any third parties. We will keep your personal information on our database only for as long as is required for the purposes for which the information may be lawfully used.  After that, we will de-identify or securely destroy the information.  

How personal information is used

Your personal information enables us to communicate with you and also allows us to process donations accurately and securely. We use Payment Card Industry DataSecurity Standard-compliant hosted payment services to process payment card transactions. We do not collect or store your payment card details. Your payment card details will only be collected and held securely by our third-party payment processor.

Managing your preferences

On occasion, Kindness Collective may send you communications that we feel are appropriate to the nature of your relationship with us, such as information about Kindness Collective campaigns, information about the impact of your support, and other opportunities to take part in. Every electronic communication we send to you will have the option for you to unsubscribe so please use this option if you do not want to receive further communication from us.
